What has been the most interesting work you’ve done here so far?
I’ve recently worked on the design of the horizontal framing for a 34-story hotel and convention center. Meeting with the architects to come up with viable design solutions has been extremely interesting and challenging.

How does engineering make a difference in the world?
Without the ingenuity and ability of engineers, the grand concepts and ideas for the world’s greatest structures would never become reality. We’re changing the world, one structure at a time.

What inspired you to go into engineering?
My creativity and mathematical abilities seemed to be a perfect fit, but what really drew me is engineering’s impact on the world. Plus it’s a great feeling when you tell an architect what you think are the structural requirements for the design and, when you run the numbers, you are right on.
