The signature entry, a glass and steel canopy resembling a pair of seashells spanning some 350 feet and supporting an 80-foot high glass curtainwall, makes an indelible impression along San Juan’s waterfront. It signals the center’s interior sophistication, from the 39,500-square-foot ballroom to the most advanced communications technology in Latin America. Our engineers drew upon Walter P Moore’s unsurpassed experience in designing long-span structures and glass curtainwalls to bring the architect’s design concept to life, to minimize structural vibration and to resist hurricane-force winds. The result is an internationally acclaimed destination beloved by the locals. |
