Walter P Moore names matthew brightman as 2007 Horvilleur Award Recipient

HOUSTON, TEXAS – WALTER P MOORE announces that Matthew Brightman, P.E., S.E., LEED®AP, has been chosen the 2007 recipient of the firm’s “Javier F. Horvilleur Outstanding Young Engineer Award.” Named in honor and memory of Javier F. Horvilleur, P.E., a WALTER P MOORE Senior Principal who died unexpectedly in September 2002, this award is presented annually to one young structural engineer at WALTER P MOORE to recognize design excellence, outstanding client service, and business acumen. Brightman was selected from nominees from throughout the firm’s ten offices nationwide. Selection Committee chair David Landis cited Brightman’s outstanding technical and creative contributions to several of the firm’s most significant projects. In presenting the award at the firm’s annual Structural Principal’s Dinner, Landis added, “Brightman exemplifies a coming generation of young leaders. The future of our firm is in excellent hands.” |
Brightman is a Senior Associate and Project Manager in WALTER P MOORE’S Houston office. A graduate of Washington State University (BS) and the University of Texas at Austin (MS), he has been a key participant in many of the firm’s major projects. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Texas, Washington and California.
