WALTER P MOORE CAN HELP STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS RECOVER FROM HURRICANE IKE

Sept. 17 , 2008

Hurricane Ike has done tremendous damage to the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana, even as this part of the country is trying to rebound from Hurricane Gustav. The cost of recovery has already been estimated in the tens of billions of dollars. Recovery from Hurricane Ike requires considerable help from the private sector.

As an approved GSA Schedule vendor, Walter P Moore can help state and local governments that have agreed to participate in the Disaster Recovery Purchasing Program. More information on these programs is available at www.gsa.gov/stateandlocal.

In addition, FEMA has released new guidance on purchasing procedures that state and local governments must follow when purchasing through the GSA Disaster Recovery Purchasing Program, if they wish to receive Public Assistance reimbursement from FEMA. The link to the FEMA guidance, "Disaster Assistance Fact Sheet 9580.103, General Services Administration Disaster Recovery Purchasing Program" is www.fema.gov/government/grant/pa/9500toc.shtm.
