HOUSTON, TX – Building Design & Construction has named Dennis M. Wittry P.E., S.E., as one of 40 rising young professionals in the AEC industry. From among 208 outstanding entrants, the magazine’s editors chose Wittry as one of “40 Under 40.” He was featured along with the other winners in the January 2009 issue of Building Design & Construction.

A Walter P Moore principal, Wittry is the structural engineering division’s regional director for central Texas. In addition to his ongoing project work, Wittry has maintained a longstanding position on the firm’s Technical Oversight Committee, known as its technical “think tank.” He also serves in a design review or consulting role on many complex projects delivered by the firm’s other offices, lending his engineering expertise to mentor and assist colleagues.
