Stadium Improvements

Houston, Texas

The infrastructure for this football stadium underwent major renovation when the existing stadium was demolished and a new 5,500-seat stadium constructed on the site.

We integrated a new larger capacity on-site storm sewer system with the existing storm sewer, which was designed to meet older, less stringent criteria. To make this happen, we utilized the new onsite drainage system, along with the subsurface drainage system of the synthetic turf field, to temporarily control excess run-off generated by the higher capacity system.

Construction cost was $8.5 million and was completed in 2006. The project was funded from a $184 million bond issue.
