The Florida Aquarium

From the Florida Aquifer to ocean depths, Florida’s unique water-world environments have a home in this Florida Aquarium. The Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers recognized us with an engineering excellence award.

The Florida Aquarium is a 120,000-square-foot, three-level attraction that educates and entertains. The aquarium showcases creatures and environments from Florida’s fresh-water springs to shoreline mangroves and offshore depths.

Our creative engineering brings to life two of the aquarium’s most spectacular exhibits:

• The Florida Wetlands, which is a rich, tropical environment, housed beneath the signature 83-foot-high glass dome in the shape of a seashell.
  
  
• The Coral Reef, which features hundreds of types of plants, fish, and sharks in a series of deep, meandering fresh and salt water tanks
