A WORLD OF FUN AND IMAGINATION

Highly unusual uses of structural steel bring Dr. Seuss's curving, abstract world to life in the eight facilities at Seuss Landing.

Guests enter The Cat In The Hat Ride via a 48-foot-tall hat supported by the structure and by the one of the Cat’s index fingers. Structural steel w-sections were sculpted to fit in the wrist, index finger and the hat brim to support an x-braced tower inside of the top of the hat.

Sylvester McMonkey McBean's Very Unusual Driving Machines is an elevated monorail ride meandering through Seuss Landing. The track is supported by Seussian arches on Sneetch Beach and by segmented, curved columns between the buildings. We designed the arches and ride columns for fatigue loading for more than 2 million loading cycles.
