The University of Kansas Medical Center’s brain imaging center is dedicated to discovering critical new information and treatments for such diseases as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, epilepsy, stroke and autism.

Our design of this 12,200-square-foot single story research facility uses conventional steel framing with open web joist roof framing and steel tube X-bracing to resist lateral loads.

Our civil engineering services included the design of five storm sewer structures, four standard and two handicap van accessible parking spaces and a 313-linear-foot storm sewer pipe system. We also developed the design of the domestic and fire protection waterline, the sanitary sewer service line, entrance walkway and the sidewalks surrounding the facility. A grading plan was prepared after determining the most appropriate location on the site for the building.
