The $160-million Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel is adjacent to and will support the $600-million Phoenix Civic Plaza Expansion, which will triple the size of the current convention facility.

The 1,000-room, luxury hotel — the largest in Arizona — rises 31 stories above an amenities podium that provides 80,000 square feet of meeting room and ballroom space.

Two levels of underground parking accommodate more than 500 cars. The ground level structure in the north podium is designed to support drive lanes for passenger drop off, access to the garage, 18-wheeler access to the truck dock and event staging.

We selected a cast-in-place, post-tensioned, concrete slab system for the tower and structural steel for the parking deck. A long-span steel-framed roof covers the ballroom, junior ballroom and meeting room spaces.
