We are developing an integrated software control system for automated incident management. It will have a Web-based software control system consisting of GUI/interactive map, database development, integration with TxDOT Advance Traffic Management System and center-to-center features.

The El Paso Incident Management Plan was developed with the unprecedented cooperation of multiple city and county of El Paso agencies. It defined roles, responsibilities and standard operating guidelines for the various agencies based on specific incident severity.

Our integrated software control system is Web-based, uses only freeware, and consists of a graphical user interface, interactive map and database. The system integrates dynamic message signing, Geographic Information System-based incident management plans, vehicle detection, lane controls signals, closed circuit television, construction information, incident information and sophisticated self-diagnostics. Our efforts include development of system architecture, extensive testing, training, initial system administration and Web hosting.
