We designed an extension of TxDOT's freeway management system in the heart of Downtown Dallas that helps it monitor and respond to incidents quicker as well as provide television camera feeds to local media.

We designed a freeway management system for the installation and integration of six closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, one dynamic message sign (DMS), one DMS relocation, vehicle detection, wireless communications and an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) integration along the 1.25-mile Woodall Rogers Freeway in Downtown Dallas. The cameras and wireless equipment will mount at the top of high mast poles and the wireless link will fill a small, but important gap in the district's redundant ATM system. We also developed district standards for the use of high mast poles for CCTV and wireless communications applications.
