IH 10 T1 to SONET Upgrade
El Paso, Texas
This complex freeway management system communications upgrade consisting of retrofitting an existing T1 backbone to SONET along IH 10.
Our efforts included SONET versus asynchronous transfer mode technology assessment, design and integration of SONET-compliant system, development of SONET-compliant specifications, design and integration of four closed circuit television cameras and integration of an area office ethernet network. We also documented existing fiber and channel assignments, which resulted in the plans being used as the current TransVista Freeway Management System as-builts.
