DEVELOPING DOWNTOWN

Houston Pavilions
Houston, Texas

This multi-level, mixed-use development is set to enliven three blocks in Downtown Houston. Our civil and traffic engineering services helped the project begin construction in winter 2006.

Houston Pavilions is a $200-million project including almost 700,000 square feet of retail, condominiums and loft office space. Our civil services included preliminary engineering for conceptual cost estimates that the owner used to negotiate incentives to make the project viable. We obtained air and vault rights for the skybridge and tunnel connections, investigated fresh air and exhaust options for tunnel ventilation and performed utility relocations.

Our traffic impact studies incorporated traffic projections, ingress/egress analysis, parking configurations, pull-off valet drops and parking circulation.

The project is expected to open in October 2008.
