Upgrading an Old Sanitary Sewer System

Upgrading an Old Sanitary Sewer System
GHWP Collection System and Lift Station
Houston, Texas

As part of an ongoing program with the City of Houston, we designed the replacement of almost two miles of sanitary sewer and relocated a 6,000-gpm lift station.

As the City of Houston continues to grow and develop, the increase in population places addition burden on the existing infrastructure. The City of Houston’s Greater Houston Wastewater Program is an ongoing user-fee-funded program to address those needs. We provided the preliminary and final design for sanitary sewer replacement along Telephone Road, Lawndale and S. Lockwood Streets in East Houston and the relocation of the 21-foot-diameter, 35-foot-deep Eddington Street Lift Station.
