Texas A&M University Kyle Field Football Stadium
Vibration Study
College Station, Texas
We conducted the vibration monitoring study for Texas A&M University’s Kyle Field press box during the last three home games of the 2003 football season. Accelerometers were used to measure the vibration and movement activity, and vibration sensors were placed at pre-selected locations throughout the stadium stands and press box. A video feed of the spectator movement was also recorded simultaneously.
We used additional vibration equipment as backup for the uni-axial and tri-axial sensors. Accelerations were acquired continuously throughout the game. The vibration test data and the video feed of spectator movement were gathered and analyzed, and recommendations were made to our clients.
