One Atlantic Center
Atlanta, Georgia
The landmark tower features one of the tallest slip-formed concrete cores ever constructed in the United States. Composite structural steel framing provides column-free lease space from the core to the perimeter of the building, and the signature copper pyramid at the top of the building helped establish Atlanta’s nickname as the "City of Lights."
We performed extensive value engineering to determine the most appropriate structural system for the project, evaluating more than 42 alternate structural systems for cost and schedule impact before the final system was selected.
The tower, which was formerly known as the IBM Tower, is served by an adjacent 1,200-car parking garage and underground pedestrian connector.
