Our traffic studies determined the street cross-section and intersection configurations needed to provide mobility and safety in this corridor. Our transportation engineering solutions included roadway design, drainage and overall project management services.
Options included assessing the existing two-lane street, a four-lane boulevard, a four-lane street with a continuous two-way left turn lane, and a six-lane boulevard. We recommended the four-lane boulevard with left turn bays at intersections. We determined traffic signal needs at three existing unsignalized intersections.
After the conclusion of the study phase, we developed a three-phase construction sequence, traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking plans and a signal interconnect plan.
