Northwest Corridor Signal System Improvements
Phase I and II
Harris County, Texas

We provided project management and civil engineering services for 125 signal locations in the Regional Computerized Traffic Signal System’s northwest corridor, which permits emergency signal preemption and coordinates priority signal operations for buses.

Our efforts included preparing signal inventory, gathering field data, subsystem grouping, cost estimates, enhancements and/or installation of intersection vehicular detection devices, intersection field cable and communications conduit routes.

We provided further project management and civil engineering services for the upgrade of an additional 57 signal locations in the northwest corridor that included preparating plans, specifications and estimates, traffic signal controller field books, agency coordination and construction phase engineering support.
