LEADING THE WAY

Westpark Tollway at US59 and IH610
Harris County, Texas

Walter P Moore provided design and investigation services for the feasibility
of various alternative ramp locations and geometric layout on US Highway
59 and Interstate 610.

The schematic design phase of this project included analysis of existing freeway and ramp geometry and recommendations for improvements, such as new intersection layouts and relocation of existing ramps.

Walter P Moore was hired by HCTRA to provide the construction plans and specifications package for the West Park Tollway. This phase of the project included bridge design modifications, retaining wall design and layout, and complex hydraulic design. The Walter P Moore team also participated in analyzing the traffic control plan and construction sequencing.

The project was completed on May 24th, 2001 on schedule and delivered a quality product to the satisfaction of the client.
