Design included transition to and from the toll plaza, realignment of frontage road to facilitate the main lane Toll Plaza, design of entrance and exit ramps at Tanner Road, clearing the right-of-way acquisition of the service road, design of a six-lane concrete bridge over Tanner Road and 6,800 lineal feet of roadway, development of right-of-way acquisition maps for additional right-of-way requirements, and redesign of the Texas Department of Transportation service roads to accommodate the proposed toll plaza.
The concrete bridge included 264 lineal feet of structure with a main span of 117 feet. Reinforced earth retaining walls reduce the width of earthen slopes and corresponding right-of-way requirements. The project’s pavement section included 10 inches of continuously reinforced concrete pavement, cement stabilized base and lime treated subgrade.
