Chaitanya is a Project Manager at Walter P Moore's New York City Diagnostics Group, with more than a decade of experience in historic building restoration, repairs, and facade inspections. He is skilled at the repair and restoration of low to mid-rise buildings involving a wide variety of building components and materials. 

In addition, Chaitanya has expertise in a wide range of project types including commercial, healthcare, and residential. He manages pre-construction surveys during adjoining building construction and documents for existing conditions of building components. Chaitanya performs Local Law 126 of 21 Periodic Inspection of Parking Structures (PIPS), Local Law 11 of 98 Facade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP), forensic investigation services, exploratory destructive and non-destructive surveys, and testing for historic buildings. He is also a Qualified Parking Structures Inspector (QPSI) and a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI).

What inspired you to choose your current career path?
I found interest to work on extending the serviceability of existing historic structures while preserving the structure's historic fabric.
How does engineering make a difference in the world?
Historic preservation conserves resources, reduces waste, and saves money by repairing and reusing existing buildings.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time with my family.
