Jared Friedman
Growing up surrounded by New York City, Jared regularly interacted with iconic structures such as the Brooklyn Bridge and the Guggenheim Museum, further fueling his architecturally curious mind. Now a Senior Technical Designer in Walter P Moore’s New York office, Jared uses his architectural background to forge strong relationships with clients and develop multi-level solutions to complicated project strategies.
Focused on emerging technologies in the AEC industry, Jared is passionate about computational design and is consistently developing new ways in which to use computation and data to improve and inform design and workflows. His past projects have spanned a wide variety of building typologies, which typically include high levels of complexity due to geometric complexity, scale, and/or use of digital models from design through fabrication.
Jared is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation where he focuses on parametric design, environmental analysis, and advanced digital workflows.
