Jie is a Senior Associate and Project Manager in Walter P Moore Washington, D.C., Structures Group. He has more than 10 years of experience in structural engineering. His specialties include a wide range of project types including sports, entertainment, healthcare, aviation, and commercial. He is adept at using advanced modeling techniques and digital workflows to efficiently analyze designs. He works closely with both the design team and contractors to ensure solutions are constructible, efficient, functional, and achieve the owner's vision. He enjoys working on one-of-a-kind structures that provide unique value to their owners.

Why did you choose Walter P Moore?
As an avid sports fan, I wanted to get the opportunity to work on stadiums and arenas. Walter P Moore is well known for having designed world-renowned sports facilities and I wanted to be a part of the teams delivering those projects.
If you had to choose a different career, what would it be?
Realistically, probably something else in a technical field, like aerospace or software engineering. Unrealistically, a restaurant critic because I love trying new foods.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I was born in China and immigrated to the US when I was four years old. Many people don’t know that I can speak Mandarin, and have lived in Shanghai, Chicago, Kansas City, and now Washington DC.
