A Principal and Project Manager in Walter P Moore’s Structures Group, Jonathan is based in the Atlanta office and has been with the firm since 2016. Jonathan is experienced in commercial buildings, long-span structures, convention centers, sports, healthcare, and retrofitting existing structures. His passion for the synthesis of architecture and structure results in a commitment to finding structural solutions to make an architectural vision a reality. Jonathan’s expertise is evident on a variety of projects including Savannah Arena, Mission Health North Tower, Charlotte Convention Center Expansion, and Georgia State University Convocation Center.

He is currently active in the American Concrete Institute and serves on the 357, 375, and 377 committees. Jonathan is a graduate of Virginia Tech and received his doctorate from Georgia Tech.

How does what you do make a difference in the world?
Structural engineering provides the foundation and framework for the structures where we all celebrate, play, sleep, collaborate, relax, heal, etc. It is a fundamental aspect of modern society.
What gives you the most satisfaction in your work?
Coming up with a structural solution to support an architectural vision.
What activities do you enjoy outside of the office?
Playing softball, cheering for the Atlanta Braves, trying to golf, and last but not least, playing with my daughter.
