Amanda Dean


Practice Areas

Amanda specializes in mid- to high-rise construction, with a focus on post-tensioned concrete and specialty steel structures. Her passion lies in the intersection of engineering and architecture, where collaboration fosters innovation in the built environment. Additionally, Amanda is a proven leader in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) space, with extensive experience building and growing DEIB programs in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.


With a strong background in structural analysis, design, and project management, Amanda has contributed to a wide range of projects spanning low- through high-rise construction in concrete, steel, and mass timber. Her project experience includes diverse sectors such as healthcare, higher education, commercial, and adaptive reuse.

A recipient of the AIA Houston 2019 Presidential Citation for DEI work, Amanda has also served as a moderator and speaker on DEI topics for various organizations including WiA Houston, the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program Houston, Texas Society of Architects, AISC, NASCC, Rutgers School of Engineering, Douglas College, and the University of Texas at Austin.
