Alvin Independent School District Central District Stadium

A new 10,000 seat Central District Stadium is slated to open in the summer of 2018 and has received overwhelming support from the parents of the students in Alvin ISD, located south of Pearland. The stadium includes a two-story press box on the home side, aluminum bleacher seating on the home and the visitor sides, a field house, and an alumni center. The stadium has also been designed for a future expansion of an additional 2,000 seats.

The upper grandstand consists of aluminum bleacher seating. In order to achieve the architect's vision of a large concourse area uninterrupted by structural braces, Walter P Moore designed the roof of the building to provide much of the necessary lateral support for the aluminum seating from above. This in turn allowed us to strategically locate minimal additional bracing within the walls of the concourse buildings resulting in large, open spaces for fans within the concourse.

The field house includes offices for the district’s athletic department and locker rooms for both the home and visiting teams. The alumni center includes a large column-free assembly area and a hall of fame.
