Kia Center

Orlando
Florida

A key element in a phased master plan for downtown Orlando, Kia Center is the nation’s most operationally capable and market-flexible multi-purpose arena. Walter P Moore was instrumental in its delivery within budget and on time for a spectacular 2010 opening.

The project includes the largest, most flexible and easiest-to-rig show grid in the industry, capable of full rigging capacity even during the most ferocious of hurricanes. Our design of the seating bowl was carefully tailored to provide optimum sightlines for a variety of events, and the flexibility to structurally respond to the actual sales mix of premium loges and single seats. The cost-efficient low profile structure that allows the building to nestle comfortably between the elevated I-4 corridor and historic residential neighborhoods in downtown Orlando, while offering patrons incredible downtown views from concourses and restaurants that cantilever from the corners of the arena.
