The Infinite Energy Arena is a truly multi-purpose venue, hosting the East Coast Hockey League’s Atlanta Gladiators, the National Lacrosse League’s Georgia Swarm, concerts, conventions, family shows and numerous sporting events. The 13,000-seat seating bowl features a state-of-the-art house reduction system which quickly converts the space to accommodate groups as small as 3,500 for theater or galas. The Arena includes 36 corporate suites, 2 party suites, club level seats, a spacious concourse, 110,000 lbs. of rigging capacity in either a center stage or end stage configuration, and a high-end sound system and acoustical enhancements to provide the best environment for experiencing a wide range of events.

The primary arena structure consists of a cast-in-place concrete structural frame, structural steel rakers and precast concrete seating units. The high roof is supported by two boxed “super trusses” spanning 247 feet in the transverse direction and a series of “rigging trusses” spanning between them in the longitudinal direction.

The ballroom addition is comprised of a 21,000 square foot ballroom with a long span roof spanning 120 feet. Totaling 59,000 square feet and including all other functions, it is framed over a parking level that is constructed above an existing retention pond.

The project was delivered on a fast-track schedule and completed in 2003.
