L.A. Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park

Walter P Moore served as lead structural engineer for the new $2.6 billion, 80,000 seat, 3.1 million square foot, multipurpose venue for the Los Angeles Rams.

The stadium will anchor the new Hollywood Park entertainment district in Inglewood, which will include an adjacent 6,000-seat performance venue, up to 890,000 square feet of retail and up to 300 hotel rooms. The project will also eventually include up to 780,000 square feet of office space, 2,500 residential units and 25 acres of public parks and open space.

We also served as the Specialty Enclosure designer and engineer as well as the Erection Engineer for the roof ETFE systems and the complex shell metal panel system. The ETFE system is a light weight membrane cladding that stretches over a light weight frame sitting atop the cable net long span structure, also engineered by Walter P Moore.

Once complete, the 800,000 SF ETFE roof will be the largest single skin structure in the United States.
