Northside Residence Hall Building Envelope
Northside Residence Hall Building Envelope
During the design of the new $68 million Texas A&M Northside Residence Hall, we ensured the building envelope system would achieve optimal performance for several generations of Aggies. After reviewing design submissions at major milestones, recommendations were provided for the brick veneer and glass curtain wall façade that resolved several issues in air and water infiltration. The building is designed to LEED standards with wall insulation up to 25 percent more efficient that the baseline R-value. Frequent visits to the project site during the early stages of building envelope construction focused on all aspects of the building envelope construction, including structural elements and material compatibility.
