Texas A&M University Corps Dorms Renovation
Texas A&M University Corps Dorms Renovation
College Station
Texas
Originally built in the 1930s, the nine existing dorms housing 2,600 cadets needed modernization. In addition to renovating nine, four-story buildings, the project also included two new Leadership Learning Centers totalling 68,145 SF which house the Corps Area Housing Office and additional Corps support operations.
With an extremely tight schedule through the design/build process, the project team established a plan that saw all nine buildings completed in 24 months, utilizing phased construction packages. Phase I included completion of the first 5 buildings while Phase II includeed the remaining 4 buildings.
