As a Structural Engineer and Project Manager in Walter P Moore’s San Francisco office, Tanjeet is a leader in expanding the firm’s West Coast practice in various sectors, with a strong focus on science, tech and research facilities, laboratories, mixed-use facilities, community and collaboration spaces, and student learning and living centers. She creates innovative, client-centric solutions that support immediate structural challenges and remain durable over time. She believes in working towards improving the constructability of projects throughout the design process to achieve efficient and optimal solutions. Tanjeet specializes in seismic design and analysis of structures built using different construction materials such as steel, concrete, and wood.

Throughout her 15-year career, she has successfully delivered projects in California ranging from $40M to over $200M in construction cost. She has served clients at the University of California system, California State University system, Stanford, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, various community colleges, and the Judicial Council of California. She works with various delivery methods including fast-track and design-build delivery systems, and is a strong advocate of integrating teams for project success.

Tanjeet earned her Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Structures from the University of Texas at Austin.

How does engineering (or what you do) make a difference in the world?
It is inspiring to see how the buildings we create have a positive impact on the people and the society around us, whether it is through ground-breaking research being performed in them or by creating spaces for the community to gather.
What’s the best advice you’ve received — so far?
There is nothing that you can't achieve that you set your mind to.
