Controller

Vanessa is a Principal in Walter P Moore's Houston Finance Group, concentrating on all aspects of the firm’s financial and project management. 

She has taken on a leadership role associated with the financial corporate compliance and budgeting forecasting processes of our firm. Vanessa has oversight of the financial operations of our US and International subsidiary entities. She is a champion in our efforts to enhance financial digital practices through new tools and technologies.  

In addition, Vanessa serves as a resource and trusted advisor for Production Group Leadership, Project Managers, Project Accountants on financial practices and procedures and is an active member in the Texas Society of CPAs.

Why did you choose Walter P Moore?
I was referred to Walter P Moore by an accounting firm. After meeting with several people, feeling the energy, seeing the culture and expertise at Walter P Moore, I knew it was the right place for me.
If you had to choose a different career, what would it be?
A small business owner of a coffee house or wine bar.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I was a band geek. I went to band camp in middle school and was in marching band in high school. I played the Euphonium.
