Overview
Global engineering consultancy Walter P Moore issued a technical advisory to developers throughout Panama today, describing important imminent changes to the seismic design codes, particularly for tall towers in Panama. Although these changes will undoubtedly make towers safer, they will also add to the cost of construction, the firm reports. Fortunately there are some steps that savvy developers can take to mitigate the cost and schedule impact of the changes, which go into effect later this year.
