Synopsis
Developed through a partnership between Atrium Health and Wexford Science & Technology, The Pearl is a multi-phased, mixed-use development featuring office, ab, retail, residential, and affordable housing, community gathering, and academic spaces. The first phase of the district, which broke ground in Q1 2023, includes Charlotte’s first four-year medical school, Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte, as well as a Research Tower, both designed by Ayers Saint Gross Architects. This session will introduce attendees to the design drivers and the history of the project to date, followed by a panel discussion that includes representatives from Ayers Saint Gross, Wexford, Walter P Moore Engineering, and the project’s general contractor, Whiting Turner.
