Chief Information Officer

Jim is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) as well as the Executive Director for Walter P Moore’s Technology group. As CIO, he is responsible for the firm's overall information technology strategy and programs. He has more than 35 years of domestic and international experience in engineering design, project management, and construction with a special interest in applying information technology to these fields. His areas of expertise include implementation of integrated project management systems, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and various virtual design and construction project delivery systems. Jim was instrumental in implementing BIM at Walter P Moore and continues to consult with other Architecture / Engineering / Construction (AEC) firms to establish their technology infrastructure and virtual project delivery systems.

Jim regularly consults and presents nationally on various technology-related topics such as VR/AR in the AEC and commercial real estate industries, integrating IT and digital workflow as corporate best practices, and cyber security. He continues to actively serve his alma mater, the University of Michigan, where he earned both his Master and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. As a registered professional engineer in five states, Jim also holds a professional registration in software engineering in the state of Texas.
