Dan Barbuto

Dan Barbuto, PE, is a Principal and Senior Project Manager in Houston’s Diagnostics group specializing in forensics and property insurance claims. He has extensive forensic engineering experience, utilizing various testing and assessment modes. His structural investigation and design experience includes concrete, steel, wood, and masonry systems.

His building enclosure experience includes evaluating and designing stucco cladding, EIFS cladding, brick masonry cladding, cement board siding, asphalt shingle roofs, MOD-BIT roofs, metal panel roofs, and a variety of single-ply roofing materials. Additionally, Dan has substantial experience with catastrophic loss event assessments, including hailstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes.

Industry affiliations include the International Concrete Repair Institute; Structural Engineers Association of Texas, Houston Gulf Coast Chapter Board President; and the Harris County Municipal Utility District (MUD) 386, Board Member.
