Overview

Our Diagnostics Group continues to grow throughout the Lone Star State and its capital! A huge WELCOME to newcomer Michael Brown and transplant Matt Heringer, heading up Diagnostics in our Austin office.

Michael Brown, Ph.D., P.E. joins us as a Senior Associate and Project Manager. A Fort Worth native and University of Texas alumnus, he specializes in the evaluation and repair of reinforced and prestressed concrete buildings and has extensive experience in nondestructive testing. Throughout his career, Michael has investigated numerous structures and developed an expertise in litigation support services.

Matt Heringer, P.E. is a Senior Associate from our Houston office who transferred to our Austin office to lead our Diagnostics efforts. He focuses on solving issues with existing structures and assists in the assessment and testing of concrete and steel structures. Matt also provides construction administration for repair and restoration projects including tunnels, parking structures, buildings, and bridges.

Backed by a long history of successful engineering and forensic analysis, our Diagnostics staff consists of licensed professional engineers, registered architects, and building enclosure consultants that assess existing building conditions and determine causes of distress. Existing structures are Diagnostics’ main focus; projects involve restoring/renovating structures and building enclosures and designing practical, cost-effective solutions to restore and extend the life of building assets. Led by Executive Director Gabriel Jimenez, our Diagnostics Group encompasses Restoration & Renovation, Forensic Analysis, Parking Restoration, and Enclosure Diagnostics.
