Walter P Moore has been named by developer Desarrollo Bahia as consulting structural engineer for the 206m-tall Financial Center Tower, with primary responsibilities of optimizing the structural systems to reduce cost and increase net rentable area. Although the 56-story tower is already under construction, the developer is “confident that Walter P Moore’s expertise in tall building design will yield substantial benefits for the project’s extremely slender concrete frame.” The tower’s aspect ratio is 8.5.
