As a project manager with the Parking Group, Beth uses her background in Traffic Planning and Operations to help connect people and places. By focusing on the arrival to, parking at, and departure from facilities, she is able to help clients make the process as seamless as possible for their visitors and end users. While she works in many market sectors, her primary focus is in Healthcare, where the recent rise in outpatient facilities has drastically changed how patients and visitors interact with medical campuses and facilities.

Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rice University and her Master of Science in Civil Engineering (with a Transportation focus) from the University of Texas at Austin.

How does engineering (or what you do) make a difference in the world?
What I do helps people get where they want go by the mode/means they prefer. People should always have the choice to get where they want to be however they choose, be that walking, on a scooter, in a car, bus, train, or bicycle (they should be able to ride a unicycle if they want)!
What’s the best advice you’ve received — so far?
If you don’t know the answer, don’t fake it. Tell them that you know how to find the answer, then go back and follow through. Quickly.
What is your proudest innovation or accomplishment to date (professional or otherwise)?
Being a part of the Bagby Street Greenroads project. I was the one who first came across the Greenroads certification, and helped to educate our client that it would be a worthy investment.
