Overview

LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park (LASED), home of the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers, recently named two of their founding partners. American Airlines was given exclusive naming rights for American Airlines Plaza, a 2.5-acre, two-level, open-air space that serves as the main entrance into the stadium and performance venue.

Naming rights for the stadium were awarded to SoFi, an online lender based in the Bay Area. The highly anticipated stadium already has several key events on its calendar including Super Bowl 2022, the 2023 college football national championship game, and closing ceremonies for the Olympics in 2028.

Walter P Moore served as the lead Structural Engineer for the 80,000-seat, 3.1 million square foot, multipurpose venue, the Specialty Enclosure designer and engineer, as well as the Erection Engineer for the roof ETFE systems and the complex shell metal panel system.
