Ismat’s practice spans infrastructure development across multiple sectors, including aviation, roads, utilities, buildings, and oil and gas. He has extensive experience in large-scale master planning, civil works, and airport development, guiding projects from concept and front-end engineering through detailed design and construction. His work supports institutional growth, community development, and national-scale initiatives, reflecting a career dedicated to advancing complex infrastructure programs.

Experience

Ismat brings deep technical knowledge and proven leadership to every project, directing multidisciplinary teams through all phases of delivery, from early engineering studies to execution in the field. His portfolio includes high-profile projects such as Wadi Al-Dawasir Airport, Hafouf Airport, and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), as well as critical infrastructure efforts like the Dhahran Expansion Housing project and the Ras Tanura Refinery upgrade. He also contributed to the Coastal Village master plan and oversaw the design and implementation of essential temporary utilities for Red Sea Global, including a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plant, electrical generator farms, a sewage treatment plant (STP), and a waste management center. Earlier in his career, Ismat directed the civil engineering unit at Saudi Aramco, advancing projects across aviation, oil and gas, and utilities that continue to shape the region’s built environment.
