Tom is a Principal and Project Manager with a focus on the healthcare market sector. Leaning into the challenges that accompany working on tight sites with a lot of moving pieces, he appreciates the need to think creatively and is expanding the firm’s timber design capabilities. He manages project delivery and coordination and works closely with both the design team and contractors to ensure solutions transfer well across all practices.


His structural engineering design experience includes roles on projects ranging from office buildings to personal residences. He has played a key role in a number of projects including the Virginia Commonwealth University Adult Ambulatory Care Facility, University of Virginia Emergency Department Expansion, George Washington University Hospital Renovations, and Gaillard Center Renovation and Expansion. Additionally, Tom brings experience across a wide range of market sectors including healthcare, commercial, cultural facilities, education, entertainment, and sports.


He is also the Project Lead and Responsible Engineer in Charge of the Panama Project for the Washington DC Professional Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-DC)
