Infrastructure
Jeff graduated from Nuclear Power School during his six-year service in the U.S. Navy, where he operated electrical systems on aircraft carrier nuclear power plants and developed his interest in engineering while working alongside engineering-trained officers on the USS Carl Vinson.
Though much of his career has focused on serving municipalities, Jeff’s diverse experience includes erosion projects, commercial development, highways, tollways, major and minor streets, water/sewer/storm systems, and industrial site improvements.
What organizations do you participate in?
I’m active in my Knights of Columbus council (a Catholic men’s fraternal organization) where we encourage development of men’s faith so they can better serve their families, church, and community.
What gets your creativity flowing?
Sometimes I sit in my garage, looking at my tools and materials, and think about what I can build or improve.
How does engineering make a difference in the world?
Much of my engineering work is not seen by the people who are served by it but they would certainly notice if they didn’t have water service, sanitary sewer collection, or streets.
