Matthew is a nationally recognized structural engineer whose forensic and diagnostic expertise has shaped some of Florida’s most complex investigations and litigation cases. With a strong academic foundation, he brings a rigorous, research-driven approach to structural failure analysis, structural assessment, and rehabilitation, as well as expert consulting. As Managing Director of Walter P Moore’s Miami office, Matthew leads a diverse team of structural engineers and building enclosure consultants, fostering collaboration and technical excellence across every project. Committed to advancing the field through innovation, Matthew cultivates a collaborative environment grounded in technical rigor and a deep understanding of client needs, supporting informed decision-making.

A former university professor turned consultant, Matthew Fadden, PhD, PE, is a structural engineer who has led multidisciplinary teams in the investigation of structural distress, failures, and repairs; hurricane damage; corrosion and cathodic protection systems; and in support of large-scale asset management programs. His technical leadership blends deep academic insight with practical field expertise, enabling the successful delivery of time-sensitive and complex evaluations, as well as expert testimony and litigation support on projects with settlements exceeding $1 billion.
