Virginia Hospital Center Ambulatory Care Building
Virginia Hospital Center Ambulatory Care Building
For over 70 years, Virginia Hospital Center has served Arlington County and the Washington, DC region as a valuable health and economic asset, providing excellent healthcare services. As the community and population continues to grow, the Virginia Hospital Center expansion project aims to address the increasing service and space demands facing the hospital.
Walter P Moore was selected to provide structural engineering services for the 250,000 square-foot ambulatory care facility. The new facility includes an ambulatory surgery center, physicians offices, and an imaging center, among other public and ambulatory care spaces. The building is currently planned to include a basement or garden level, 6 elevated floors, and a rooftop mechanical penthouse, adjacent to a new, 2,700 car parking structure.
