Practice Areas

Ozgur’s areas of expertise include performance-based high-rise building design, seismic strengthening, and long-span roof design through advanced nonlinear analyses. His PhD research investigated the seismic behavior of various structural steel systems and modified the design and detailing rules to make the traditional seismic force-resisting systems perform better at multi-level seismic hazards.

Experience

Ozgur is a Senior Engineer at the San Francisco office with experience in structural design in high seismic zones, including base isolation and damping systems, and seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings.
