Overview

When the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) needed a planning and environmental linkage study to improve the 12.6 miles of Interstate 69 from Midtown to Beltway 8—one of Houston’s vital thoroughfares—they called on us. Our reputation for harnessing cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative solutions and our established relationship with TxDOT instilled trust in our capabilities. As a result, we became the prime provider for this ambitious project, poised to drive change for the region.

About the project

Armed with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies, we embarked on a journey to transform this bustling corridor. Using an innovative approach, we delivered a comprehensive blueprint for transportation enhancements that would not only alleviate congestion but also set new standards for efficiency and sustainability.

The immense scale of the project spanned both major and minor intersections, necessitating solutions that were both scalable and adaptable to the region’s evolving needs. We employed advanced technologies, including simulation software like VISSIM (VItal SIMulation) and the industry-leading Highway Capacity Software (HCS), we meticulously analyzed traffic patterns, geometries, and future projections.

The significance of this project cannot be overstated. It underscores not only our team’s expertise but also our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in transportation engineering. By embracing cutting-edge technology, we’re not just navigating the challenges of today, we’re shaping the highways of tomorrow.
