IH 69 Planning Environmental Linkage Study
IH 69 Planning Environmental Linkage Study
Walter P Moore served as the prime provider for this planning and environmental linkage study to examine improvements to 12.6 miles of IH 69 from Midtown to Beltway 8. The project includes both major and minor intersections along this corridor. The project will determine a recommended alternative for transportation improvements in the corridor, potentially including widening or reconfiguration of the freeway mainlanes and/or HOV/HOT lanes, frontage roads and intersections, as well as intersecting and/or parallel roadway corridors. This project involved data collection, projection of future traffic volumes, existing geometry and proposed widening of the existing freeway segment, and the improvements to parallel corridors. The traffic analysis was completed using both VISSIM and HCS for a future Interstate Access Justification Report.
