Three New Faces and Four Changing Places

Overview

We welcome three new faces from three different offices across the firm. Get to know these exceptional individuals, each contributing unique talents and expertise to our team. In addition, we would like to recognize four significant promotions within our firm. These leadership transitions will help Walter P Moore solidify its position as a leading global engineering firm.

New Faces

Ashpica Chhabra, PE, SE, LEED AP

Managing Director  /  Structures, New York
Roots / Alma Mater(s): New Delhi, India / Delhi College of Engineering and Stanford University
Why Walter P Moore: “For their distinguished legacy, multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach, and innovative outlook.”  
Outside the office: I enjoy reading and baking with my daughters.

Brian McElhatten, PE, SE

2nd career choice, if not an engineer: Woodworking

Diana Nishi, PE, SE

Senior Project Manager  /  Structures, Los Angeles
Roots / Alma Mater(s): Los Angeles, California / University of California Los Angeles and California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo
Proudest innovation: I worked at the Getty Center in Los Angeles during the Northridge earthquake and participated in the steel research that helped form AISC steel codes for steel moment frames. 
Hobbies: I enjoy reading, gardening, and traveling.

Changing Places

Brent Bolerjack, PE

Little-known tidbit: I am related to sportscaster Craig Bolerjack voice of the Utah Jazz.

Kelly Roberts, PE, SE, LEED AP BD+C

Work satisfaction: Working with project teams that feel more like friends and family than clients and colleagues.
Role model: My grandfather who was an architect.

Peter White, PE

Managing Director  /  Diagnostics, Charlotte
Roots / Alma Mater: Waynesville, North Carolina / North Carolina State University
Proudest accomplishment to-date: Obtaining project of the year finalist award at the International Concrete Repair Institute.
Outdoor activities: I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, fly fishing, and snow skiing.

Henry Yau, PE

Making a difference in the world: Engineers move the world forward by providing solutions to everyday problems.
Fun fact: I won the Panama Chemistry Olympiad gold medal back in 2003.
